Did you know that World Trenchless Day is September 22, 2022? On World Trenchless Day, we celebrate the advancements and benefits of trenchless plumbing. We also recognize all the professionals that help make trenchless plumbing a possibility, including the manufacturers, trenchless plumbing contracts, the engineering firms that test and develop the products, and all the associations, public works, and publications that provide information on trenchless technology. Today, our technicians at NuFlow would like to highlight all the benefits of trenchless pipelining.

Benefits of Trenchless Plumbing Technology in Chicago

Trenchless pipelining provides many benefits over traditional pipe replacement. Let’s take a look at those benefits in detail.

Environmentally Friendly

Epoxy pipelining does not create any waste for landfills because your existing pipes remain in place. This is because pipelining is a CIPP (Cured-in-Place) technology that creates a pipe within a pipe, effectively rehabilitating your existing plumbing system. It also helps reduce water contamination by preventing your potable water from coming into contact with the metal plumbing pipes in your building.

Minimal Disturbance to Surroundings

Trenchless pipelining doesn’t cause harm to the environment or your property. This is because our technicians at NuFlow utilize existing cleanouts and access points to connect equipment. When an access point isn’t available, we create a new one and then install a door, which means no holes are left in your building. When the work is performed outside on a sewer line, the access holes that are dug are considerably smaller than with trenched repiping, which means there’s less damage to your landscaping. Not to mention, we fill in all holes once the project is complete.

Flexible and Adaptable Repiping Solution

Trenchless technology is flexible, which means it can be used on any plumbing pipe anywhere in your building. It can also be used on residential, commercial, and public buildings, including sports venues. It’s also an adaptable technology. This means that if a pipe is too worn to be lined, it can be replaced by a qualified and experienced plumber and then lined along with the rest of the pipes in the run.

Saves Time and Money

Trenchless technology saves time and money. On average, it takes two to three days to fully restore a plumbing pipe, and the process is minimally invasive to your residents. This is because we make sure to provide a mix (hot and cold combined) so that your residents still have the ability to clean their units and take showers. When we say that pipelining is less expensive, we’re taking into consideration all the fees associated with a traditional plumbing pipe replacement. This includes fixing damage to drywall, floors, ceilings, and finishes. When all of these things are considered, you’ll save money by lining your pipes versus replacing them.

Epoxy Pipelining Lasts Just as Long as a Pipe Replacement

Epoxy pipelining is rated to last between 35 and 50 years, and some lifespan estimates state that epoxy pipelining may last up to 80 years.

Pipelining Comes with a Warranty

All of our pipelining services come with a 10-year warranty for installation.
